The Junior Warrior League Tournament
In term 3 week 10 most of the seniors (Room 7,9 &10) had walked up the Glenbrae School field to be taken in interest for Rugby League. There was more exciting news Room 8 sort of participated in rugby league by cheering us on!
Firstly, the year 6’s started the game off. There were the two finalist’s, they had played against each other. Surprisingly the Warriors won (their team name). After the year 6’s game, the year 7’s were up for the same challenge. Unfortunately a team lost which was New South Wales.
Next, there was one more game that one looked like a real competition, it was the year sevens again. When that game was finished, we went to the hall and celebrated our success in for games. During that some people got picked for rewards like, a rugby ball with the Warriors signatures, a Warrior's bag,a drink bottle and sweat head band. Room 9 and part of room 10 got a special bag that had all the special items in it. After everyone got their special rewards, it was Kiwi Can’s share, they made Room 9 and 10 a BBQ. It was yummy, because there were sausage sizzles, fruit punch & some chips. Finally, it was lunch, we ate our food and decided to go and play. After our playing time the school bell had rang, but some students decided to stay and eat more!
I enjoyed the whole day and I even asked our Kiwi Can leaders if I could have some more snacks.
