WALT: Learning to identify key words in the questions to help answer questions based on the text.
Success Criteria: I am able to answer questions based on the text by using the keywords from the question.
I learnt a new strategy to write Reading Response. I used the Key words in the questions to help me look for answers in the text.
By using this strategy, I was able to answer 5 questions correctly. I felt so amaed because I am getting better at answering questions.

Monday the 9th March 2015 some of the year 6 ,7 & 8’s and also some of the teachers went to Butterfly creek in Mangere, near the Auckland Airport. We went there to learn about dinosaurs. We traveled by bus, it was a big white Swasbrook bus.
First we went inside the big bus and then the bus driver drove to Butterfly Creek. When we were there we lined up in our groups and walked into the entrance.
Next we sat down and ate our food. After eating we finally went to the dinosaur kingdom to talk about safety and dinosaurs. After we went to the butterfly safe house. We saw a lot of butterflies. We left from there and visited the crocodiles. Later on we took other trips to the aquarium and then a trip to the tram. Later we had our lunch. After having lunch we went to see the crocodiles because they had a show. After that we got to see a spider. We lined up to so we could go back to school. We went to the bus and then we went back to school.
I loved it there and hope to go there again.

Whanau and Family time test story.
Family time.
On September 17th 2009 (5-6 years ago) it was my birthday and also my mum and dad were going to get married. We were in the Cook Islands, it was me and some of my family members. We were going to have the wedding and the birthday at a beach.
Firstly I woke up hearing a loud car/truck passing by and the wind in my ears.
Suddenly I smelt a very nice smell, I hoped out of my bed,like a kangaroo. I saw what my mum had made and it was incredible, it was cut up fruit with some French toast. Nextly I ate the food quickly and then off to wake my Dad and sister. I walked to me sister and dads room to wake them up, the next thing I knew that they were awake. They said HAPPY BIRTHDAY , and gave me a lot of hugs and kisses. Next a car/truck came up to our house and I was wondering who that was, but when she came into our house she was the make-up lady.

Just a note

Current Events
My teacher asked me to do a current event and I did this.
Prof McPherson taught and attended research at the University of Arizona for 20 years before leaving the university in 2009.
He will be speaking about climate change in guest lectures in New Zealand from October 22 to November 1.

About half my day.
Today is a beautiful day, I am with my family just doing a board game and its called " The Game of Life" and it is a very nice game.
We've played it a few times, I've won once and my sister won twice.
I think its called " The game of Life" because at the start it has a choice of career and college career, you have to choose one and then you have to pick up two cards ( there is four different kinds of cards like, House, Action, Career and College career cards) from the college or career cards and choose one of the cards and it will have your celery on it and have to spin the wheel and then you would have a number from one to ten, you move to what space its on ( the wheel ) you also have a peg in your car and also a token.
There is a lot of stops on the board like graduation and get married, babys, I you want to the to night school and a few others. It is a very nice game to play.
