This story is about Mr MacKay (the teacher) who has given his class a challenge about marbles. He gave his class a paper which had instructions about what their assignment was about. They had to get into groups of three. Those groups had to make a ramp to see which marble would go the furthest down the ramp.
Some groups had doubts about their ramps since some of them were either too high or too long. However, there was no backing down because all the groups had to build a ramp each.
Finally it was time to test the ramps.
A measuring tape, a marble and the ramps had been used, they put a marble on top of the ramp and slid down the marble.
The class focused on the angle and timing for the marble’s distance. They eventually got the results for the length of the marble. On Friday Mr MacKay had a wonderful day knowing that his class had finished their tasks.
