Basic Facts about Barbados
- Barbados is completely surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean!
- Is the birthplace of Rihanna, who moved from Barbados to the United States (as mentioned).

As our class was inquiring into Barbados, we looked at the flag (as shown below) and thought it unlike, odd to have a trident then we further researched to find out that the blue represents the sea and sky of Barbados. While gold represents the sand of the island's beaches. The symbol at the center of the flag represents the Trident of the mythical sea god, Neptune - the shaft of the trident is broken symbolizing Barbados' break from Britain!
